Finally I am here with my Top 10 list of favorite books from 2018. I read many amazing books last year and it was difficult to come down with just 10 books for this list. But here is a list of 10 books that entered my favorites list, in no particular order –
Happy New Year guys! 2018 is finally over and 2019 is here. 2018 has been a great year for me personally as things improved on the career front and I got to make some international trips – UK and Mexico. Life was hectic but eventful. I even got to attend Worldcon this year. Here’s hoping that 2019 will be equally good.
December was a pretty busy month for me as I took a cruise to Mexico. More details will be coming soon in a separate post. I read 6 books in total in December.
Here are the books that I finished in December –
I read Jungle of Stone book by William Carlsen just in time for my Mexico trip and I liked it. The book is about John Stevens and Frederick Catherwood as they both make their journey to Mexico and Central America in search of stones in Jungle and end up discovering Maya Civilization. Even the locals had no idea about this civilization and it is because of the expedition of these two men that the Europeans realized that western hemisphere had an advanced civilization which could match some of the ancient civilizations in the East.
Updated: Michelle received her copy of Doomsday Book, just before Christmas. Yay!
I am excited to announce the winner of the International Giveaway that I posted in November. Thank you all for participating in the giveaway and for leaving a comment with your choice. I gave numbers to all the comments and then gave the range of numbers to a random number generator to pick the winner. Comment #1 did not wish to participate so my min was at 2.
November was a great reading month. I read many books which were on my TBR for quite sometime. I read a total of 8 books, out of which one was a graphical novel. November was also sci-fi month so I read a couple of science fiction books too.
I watched the new Fantastic Beasts movie – The Crimes of Grindelwald on the day it was released, as you can expect from me. I then read the screenplay book the very next day. I did not get time to blog about it as I was traveling. Now that I am back, I have plenty of thoughts on the movie and the screenplay.
This post will contain SPOILERS so if you haven’t yet seen or read this part of Fantastic Beasts series, then skip this post.
