These days, I am keenly interested in photography and am always on the lookout for lenses, filters and what not. All these days, I used to struggle with the technology, but I have now crossed that boundary and am no longer an amateur. I know how to take relatively good pictures using the equipment that I own. Now in order to move forward, I need good lenses. So I am eyeing some lenses and want to try these and then buy them, when I can.
We drove to Blossom trail on a weekend to catch these beauties. There were Almond blossoms, Plum blossoms, Apple blossoms and Citrus blossoms which had white petals. Apricot blossoms, Peach and Nectarine blossoms had pink petals. It was great strolling midst these orchards looking at flowers and bees. I love flowers and love photographing them a lot.
… in me. 2013 is already over! It was a year in which I was really sad because of some bad events. But also was very happy because some good things happened. This year made me realize that no matter what goes wrong, my husband is going to be there to support and comfort me.
When recently some of my unmarried friends asked me if I lost independence after marriage, I had a good laugh. My husband has given me freedom and encouragement to do whatever I like. I wonder why people keep cribbing about losing independence after marriage.
I have been missing in action for quite sometime now. Job change, way too many hobbies and activities drained all of my energy. Hope to be more regular here and at commenting. Happy Deepavali! 🙂
I learnt knitting and crochet too recently. It had been my dream from a long time to learn knitting. It is not that difficult. I am in the process of making a cap and a scarf.
Tried my hand at light painting. I drew this while husband took the pic. I tried to draw “Ash”.
This year the only activity that I have been doing consistently is “travelling”. I haven’t had much time to do anything else this year. So yes this year, I have been blogging mostly about the places I’ve had the chance to visit.
This was yet another place on our list for a long time now. Last year we drove through Big Sur in California without stopping, since we were getting late. But the scenery was so beautiful that it made us plan another trip, this time a casual one with lot of time at hand.
Today saw the supermoon for the second time in my life. We even went for a drive just to catch a better glimpse of the moon. How could I not capture it on camera?
Earlier supermoon pic that I saw in India is here: http://wp.me/p3iG9o-1ib
On Sunday (June 23), the moon will be at its closest point to Earth — called perigee. This relatively close brush will happen as the moon enters its fullest phase, creating the cosmic coincidence known as the supermoon. At its fullest and closest, the moon will appear about 12 percent larger in the sky. (Taken from link)
Bumblebee, Humming bird and some flowers shot at Santa Cruz Botanical Gardens. Humming bird was shot by hubby, rest by me.
