Game of Thrones Finale : Rant

This post is full of spoilers so if you have not watched the finale of Game of Thrones, please come back to this post later.

I saw the last episode yesterday and was furious. The plot was getting ridiculous right after the books ended but I still had some hopes. Last night’s episode was a disaster. Probably the worst ending one could ever come up with.

Disney, Fairy Tales and Feminism

I wanted to write a blog post about this topic for a long time now. I couldn’t find enough time to blog, thanks to the hectic work schedule in the new team. I spent most of my free time this month in cleaning the house and applying minimalism techniques I learnt in some of these books. Now everything at home has its own place and anything that doesn’t bring joy has been kicked out of the house.

Life has improved a lot as I started my new job. I am loving the new team, manager who is extremely soft spoken and the work which is quite interesting. I am trying to learn everything and fit into the new environment. I am definitely not missing my old team and work that I did there. 🙂

Reading and TV

Time to brag something on my blog. 🙂 Our son is about to complete one year and he has not seen TV. Not just TV, we did not let him watch any videos on phone or iPad as well. Yayy! We resolved to not make him sit in front of TV until he completes one year and we achieved it finally. That means we had to sacrifice TV ourselves.

Pride and Prejudice

I am one of those few people (women) who did not like Pride and Prejudice novel. I know it is weird since everyone seems to like it.

I remember reading it for the first time when I was in high school after a friend recommended it to me. I found it extremely boring and I could not understand why people liked it so much. I still own that copy of this book. Recently (4 years back), I again tried reading the book. I thought since I was matured enough to understand the story, I might like it. But again after reading first few pages, I gave up thinking it was boring. I could not understand why women liked Mr. Darcy or Lizzy so much. I quit the 2005 movie adaptation midway as it was boring, while the husband slept off while watching the movie. It was that boring.
