November was a great reading month. I read many books which were on my TBR for quite sometime. I read a total of 8 books, out of which one was a graphical novel. November was also sci-fi month so I read a couple of science fiction books too.
I finally finished The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers today after wanting to read it for couple of years now. I had this book on my TBR for 2018 so I am happy that I was able to tick off an item from my TBR. I met this author in Worldcon and even got the book signed from her this year. Thanks to the read-along hosted by Jorie, Lisa and Imyril as part of scifi month, I was able to read this book and discuss it with others.
2018 is almost over and I have few trips planned for end of this month and next month so I will not be blogging much. I was looking through my TBR when I realized there were some backlist books that I really wanted to get to as soon as possible. This list will be part of my TBR for next year, 2019.
Here are the ten books that I want to read asap. Let me know if you loved any of these and would like me to prioritize them over others.
I am a fan of the thriller genre in general, but being a nerd, I prefer sci-fi thrillers. I get the best of both genres – Science Fiction genre and Thriller genre. Sci-fi thrillers usually have some suspense element and are centered around either a creature wreaking havoc to some scientific research or some aliens who decide to destroy Earth or something else which keeps us at the edge of our seat until we are done with the book. These books hook you and are fast paced while also having some hard science elements in them.
[I have a giveaway on my blog, if you haven’t already noticed. Link to the giveaway.]
I am excited to announce a giveaway on my blog. I will be giving out a copy of ONE of three books which ended up on my favorites list in 2018 (any one of these three that you prefer) this month.
Sci-Fi Month is back this year and I am participating in it, even with a hectic schedule and an upcoming vacation planned. Sci-fi is one of my favorite genres and what better than to celebrate a month reading Sci-fi with fellow fans of this genre.
