This long weekend was all about Baycon and Aladdin.
I wanted to write a blog post about this topic for a long time now. I couldn’t find enough time to blog, thanks to the hectic work schedule in the new team. I spent most of my free time this month in cleaning the house and applying minimalism techniques I learnt in some of these books. Now everything at home has its own place and anything that doesn’t bring joy has been kicked out of the house.
For our next vacation, we have been planning to visit Mexico so I gathered all the books I had on Mexico in my TBR pile.I have been to the west coast of Mexico and this time the plan is to visit the east coast which has Mayan Ruins.

Life has improved a lot as I started my new job. I am loving the new team, manager who is extremely soft spoken and the work which is quite interesting. I am trying to learn everything and fit into the new environment. I am definitely not missing my old team and work that I did there. 🙂
So in my last post, I talked about the Hugo nominated books that I had already read, even before the nominations were announced. This post is going to be about the books that I plan to read. I am not interested in reading all the books that were nominated, but still interested in reading some of them.
My dream is finally coming true. We are going to visit UK this summer. I have been dreaming about visiting London for god knows how long. It was at the top of my must see before I die list and part of every bucket list I ever made for myself.
So recently we were discussing about that controversial movie Padmavati or Padmavat or whatever they are calling it now. I do not agree with the fact that one should burn buses or whatever to protest. I did not watch the movie and never will. But I couldn’t not agree with people when they said historical events were misrepresented. Bollywood movies these days are full of nonsense. The prevailing theme is romance and everything else in the movie revolves around romance. Why is romance the central focus of every single movie?
