My First Worldcon

I attended my first Worldcon (Worldcon 76) last weekend and it was amazing!

Worldcon, or more formally the World Science Fiction Convention, the annual convention of the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS), is a science fiction convention. It has been held each year since 1939 (except for the years 1942 to 1945, during World War II). The World Science Fiction Society administers and presents the Hugo Awards, the oldest and most noteworthy award for science fiction. (from Wikipedia).

This was the first literary convention I had ever been to and it will definitely not be my last. I hardly have friends in real life who are into reading books, let alone reading SFF books. So it was great to attend a convention full of book nerds and on top of that, those who love the genres that I love reading.
