Library book haul – 2

So I returned my books from the earlier library book haul and got some more today to read in the holidays next week. One of the reasons for not borrowing books from the library is the strict deadline when you have to return books. Being a moody reader, I find it difficult to finish a book on time. That’s the reason for preferring to own books which you can keep down any number of times and pick up whenever you feel like reading again.

But after borrowing graphic novels last time, I realized library is a great place to borrow comics and graphic novels. They can be read in a single sitting and they are expensive to buy. So this time I got few comics and just as I was about to leave, I saw Hamilton (it is basically the script of a play which is currently very popular in US) and I had to pick it. I was contemplating on buying that book so I thought trying the library copy will help me decide.

I read Papergirls vol 1 last time and liked it so got the second volume this time. It is a sci-fi graphic novel with aliens, time travel etc. It is pretty weird and nothing made much sense so I want to try the second volume and decide whether I want to continue with the series.

I also picked Lumberjanes and Fullmetal Alchemist. I loved Deathnote manga series (will post a review soon) which I read this year and would love to start another manga series. I wanted to try out the first volume to see if I will like it.

So these are the books I am going to read next week. Do let me know if you have read any of these.

Happy holidays!

  1. Oh the library! I need to start using the resource more especially since it’s less than five miles away from me and would save me loads of money on books 🙂

Nice haul you have there! I’m so behind with the Hamilton sensation. I keep telling myself I need to listen to the soundtrack, and I keep not doing so.
