Authors I want to read more from

I have never spoken much about my favorite authors on this blog of mine. I have read many books written by these authors and I am pretty sure I will love any book written by them. Without even reading the book blurb, I buy books written by them. I want to read every single book written by these authors some day. Here is the list –

  1. J. K. Rowling – for her fantasy novels

I am not a huge fan of her “adult” novels, though I only read one adult novel of hers (Casual Vacancy). But if she writes anything related to Hogwarts or the magical world, I will be first in line at the store to buy that book.

  2. J. R. R. Tolkien – tolkien_sm

Unfortunately he is not alive today but I am trying to read every single book written by him. I am trying to collect them all.

  3. George R. R. Martin – grrm_sm

I just love the way he writes. I will read anything written by him. Since his new book has not yet come out, I am trying to read some of his older books which are not based in the “A song of ice and fire” world.

  4. Isaac Asimov – asimov_sm

My most favorite science fiction author. He is the most prolific author on my list so there is a huge back list of books to catch up on. I have to still read hundreds of books of his and I am happy that he wrote so many great books.

  5. Carl Sagan – sagan_sm

He is my most favorite science writer. I have read few of his books but I still have to read few of them and I plan to finish reading them soon. I am yet to read the only science fiction book that he has written. It has been on my tbr for too long now.

  6. H. G. Wells – wells_sm

He is probably my second favorite science fiction writer. I love his books so much – especially “The time machine” which was amazing. I am yet to read few books of his. His books are succinct and not chunky which is a plus.

So who are your most favorite authors? And who are the authors that you want to read more books from?

  1. Except for Carl Sagan (who I haven’t read), I could literally copy-paste this list of authors to my blog. I love them all. Another couple of authors I’d add to this list are Margaret Atwood, and Donna Tartt. Love their books.

  2. Love the list. We share many of the same favorites, though I haven’t yet read The Time Machine. So many books, so little time. Sigh.
