I recently finished “Notes from a small Island” by Bill Bryson. I did not quite like the book that much, mainly because Bryson is pretty mean and rude to others. But I did get some information about places in UK. Based on that information, I came up with this list to help me when I visit UK. Please add any other place to this list if you found it interesting. People from UK like Bikram can help me out with this list.
Other than the usual places like Buckingham Palace, London Bridge and Stonehenge, I found some more interesting places from this book.

Other things are ok, but what’s special about that grave? I have heard of London Eye, a huge giant-wheel 🙂

Thanks… I just got reminded that I didn’t see any of the stuff mentioned here 😦
I saw only the stuff within London coz I was there. Did not even make a trip to Scotland, which is a shame. However I did manage to visit Switzerland. Does that count? 😛

Inverness is very beautiful. It was sunny and bright when we went there and I was completely in love with it. 🙂 I live in Edinburgh and I cannot put it into words how beautiful it is. 🙂
Lake district is another beautiful place you may want to add to your list when you visit Scotland, I haven’t been there yet but I surely want to visit. Also the isle of skye, highlands and other isles are beautiful.
York is also amazing, am small city with old old houses, cobblestone roads, narrow lanes which reminded me of diagon alley of harry potter. 🙂
