Toy Story 3

“To infinity and beyond!”. People who have watched Toy Story 1 and 2 know exactly what I am talking about. One of the best animation movies to have hit the silver screens. Yes! Toy story 3 totally rocked, so did the other parts. And when it has been made by Pixar Studios, you know that it has to be rib-tickling, will definitely have a good storyline, some moral or a lesson at the end and powerful characters who stay with you long after the movie has ended. Pixar has been my most favourite animation studios, since it has given some very popular animation movies like A bug’s life, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up and many more.

So what exactly is the movie all about?

It is a movie about toys, which come to life when their owner is not around. Andy is the boy who owns all these toys and his favourite toy is a cowboy called Woody, whose voice has been given by my favourite hero “Tom Hanks” 🙂 Woody is smart, intelligent sheriff whom the other toys respect a lot. In the first part of the series, Andy gets a new toy called “Buzz Light-year”, who is an astronaut and starts neglecting Woody. Woody gets jealous and tries to get rid of Buzz, leading to a humorous journey of rescuing Buzz later on.

In the second part, Woody is stolen since he is a very popular toy and Buzz goes to his rescue along with the other toys. Woody meets Jessie, the cowgirl and Bullseye, the horse who end up escaping with him later.

In the third part, which essentially is kind of the best amongst all the parts, Andy is about to go to college. Army men (Sarge and two paratroopers) leave well in advance thinking they will be thrashed along with other toys. Because of some confusion, all the toys end up at Sunnyside day care, instead of attic at Andy’s home. This movie is really funny in that you will keep laughing throughout the movie. There was not even a single moment where I got bored. The villains are so cute, a teddy named ‘Lotso’ who smells like a strawberry and a Big baby doll which keeps crying. Barbie meets the love of her life, Ken. The rest of the movie is about how they escape from the day care and make it ‘home’, with Woody’s help. You will fall in love with the toys – Jessie, Bullseye, Mr. Potato, Mrs. Potato, 3 aliens from Pizza Planet (they are so adorable.. I just love the way they make a squeaking noise), dog with a spring for body, Rex the green dinosaur and Hamm the piggy bank. Bonnie is a kid who loves her toys and she has some lovely toys which make their appearance too along with all the other toys in the day care, like the one that keeps “shh”ing others 😀

A must watch movie, if you like animated movies. 10/10 for this movie from my side! 🙂

Some of the most funny moments in the movie were:

1. Buzz Lightyear gets reset to spanish mode and it is so funny to see him speak in Espanol 🙂

Spanish Buzz: Estrella de registro: He despertado de hiper-sueño en un planeta extraño.
Hamm: Now what did you do?
Rex: I just did what you told me!
Spanish Buzz: Estoy rodeado de criaturas alienígenas de intenciones desconocidas. ¿¡Quién va ahí? Amigo o enemigo?
Woody: Uh… amigos! We’re all amigos!
Spanish Buzz: Debo tener un aterrizaje forzoso y tuve mi memoria borrada.
Spanish Buzz: ¿Alguien ha visto a mi nave espacial?
Woody: We gotta switch him back.

2. Mr.Potato removes his eyes, nose, mouth and ears and sticks them to a Tortilla. The way he moves in this flexible new body of his, made me hold my stomach and laugh. Finally a bird comes and tears this body of his into pieces.

3. Barbie tearing Ken’s clothes blackmailing him to tell her how to fix Buzz.

Andy finally says this at the end about Woody:

Andy : “Now Woody, he’s been my pal for as long as I can remember. He’s brave, like a cowboy should be. And kind, and smart. But the thing that makes Woody special, is he’ll never give up on you… ever. He’ll be there for you, no matter what.”

Woody is truly a hero and he proves that by rescuing the other toys, by putting his own life in risk. This looks like the last edition of Toy Story series. But I really wish Pixar would make more movies in this series, because each one of them is funnier than the other. I looove Toy Story!!!!! 🙂
