Happy Birthday Harry !!

Harry Potter completed another Birthday this year on 31st July (today) 🙂 Harry shares his birthday with J K Rowling.. I have grown up with the Harry Potter books and can feel the excitement.. I completed my 8th year of potter fanship, which means that I am crazy about Harry from past 8 years!!! I grew up from being a teenager to being a big girl along with Harry.. There was a time when I and a friend of mine were so addicted to the series that we had named each and every person in our college (all the students and professors) to some character from Harry Potter.. We had even named ourselves too – I was Sirius black aka. padfoot and my friend was James Potter since we were really good friends.. Of course, we had not named anyone Harry since Harry was like the best and no one would fit that role.. There was Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle, Karkaroff (our HOD), Basilisk (a prof who would keep staring at us for giggling in class – remember the basilisk’s eyes?), Mc Gonagall, Dobby (a rather skinny short girl), Veela (a girl who would dress well and guys would keep drooling at her) etc etc.. it was fun..

Lets see how Harry celebrated his 7 birthdays:

First:

Harry turned eleven when Hagrid came to visit him with a cake. He told Harry that he is a wizard and gets to know that his parents did not die in a car crash.. Dudley gets a cute pig tail in this scene (shown in movie)

Second:

The worst birthday Harry had.. Uncle Vernon invites some rich builder and his wife for dinner while Harry is asked to be in his room, pretending he is not there.. Harry is so depressed since he doesnt hear from any of his friends.. Dobby comes and ruins the party for which Harry gets locked in his room.. (shown in movie)

Third:

Harry gets three owls with birthday cards for the first time in his life.. Ron sends Harry a pocket sneakoscope.. Hermione gives Harry a Broomstick servicing kit.. Hagrid sends the funniest gift possible – The Monster book of monsters (the biting book).. (shown in movie)

Fourth:

Harry got lot of good stuff from friends..He had received four superb birthday cakes, one each from Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and Sirius.. Dudley was on serious diet eating grapefruit while Harry enjoyed his cakes.. (Not shown in movie)

Fifth:

Another depressing birthday since Ron and Hermione were not ready to reveal wizarding world news.. They each sent him a card along with Honeydukes chocolates.. His birthday surprise this year was in the form of dementors sent to kill him.. (shown in movie)

Sixth:

He celebrates his birthday at Ron’s house, Burrow with a nice cake prepared by Mrs.Weasley.. but his birthday celebration is punctuated with the news of more deaths, kidnaps and dementor attacks brought by Lupin.. (not shown in movie)

Seventh:

This being his last birthday, it is again at the Burrow, the day before the wedding.. He becomes seventeen and so can do magic even when he is not at school.. Ron gifts him a book “Twelve Fail-Safe Ways to Charm Witches”.. Hermione gifts him a sneakoscope, Ginny snogs, Bill and Fleur gift an enchanted razor, Delacours give him chocolates, Fred and George gift him an enormous box of the latest Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes merchandise and Hagrid gives him a moleskin.. Minister of magic comes and hands over the things mentioned in Dumbledore’s will..

Here’s wishing again – HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO J.K. ROWLING AND HARRY POTTER, THE BOY WHO LIVED!!!
