aye mere watan ke logon
tum khoob laga lo naara
ye shubh din hai hum sab ka
lehara lo tiranga pyaara
par mat bhoolo seema par
veeron ne hai praan ganvaaye
kuch yaad unhein bhi kar lo
jo laut ke ghar na aayeaye mere watan ke logon
zara aankh mein bhar lo paani
jo shaheed hue hain unki
zara yaad karo qurbaani
tum bhool na jao unko
isliye suno ye kahaani
jo shaheed…jab ghayal hua himalay
khatre mein padi aazadi
jab tak thi saans lade vo
phir apni laash bichha di
sangeen pe dhar kar maatha
so gaye amar balidaani
jo shaheed…jab desh mein thi diwali
woh khel rahe the holi
jab hum baithe the gharon mein
woh jhel rahe the goli
the dhanya javaan woh aapane
thi dhanya woh unaki javaani
jo shaheed …koi sikh koi jaat maraatha
koi gurakha koi madaraasi
sarhad pe marnewaala
har veer tha bharathvaasi
jo khoon gira parvat par
woh khoon tha hindustaani
jo shaheed…thi khoon se lath-path kaaya
phir bhi bandook uthaake
das-das ko ek ne maara
phir gir gaye hosh ganvake
jab anth samay aaya to
keh gaye ke ab marate hain
khush rehana desh ke pyaaron
ab hum to safar karate hain
kya log the woh deewane
kya log the woh abhimaani
jo shaheed…tum bhool na jaao unko
is liye kahi ye kahaani
jo shaheed…

What about woMEN??? Lol.. It good to see patriotism flushing in!~

hehe.. I just took this from the movie Rang De Basanti.. According to my understanding, this refers to Bhagat Singh and his accomplices who wanted to get caught and killed in order to stir awareness among Indians 🙂 Hence it’s just MEN 😛
