JK Rowling of Harry Potter fame was nominated in the “Greatest Living British Writer” poll and yesterday, the winners were announced. Jo of course won, totaling three times as many votes as fantasy writer Terry Pratchett, who came in second place.
She is the most imaginative and creative author I have ever seen. And the way she makes every book interesting – once you start reading, it is impossible to keep the book down for even a minute.
This is what Bloomsbury publishing director Liz Calder had to say:
“She produced a book that could tear an entire generation away from the TV. It had the right mix of magic, a school story, good versus evil and, most importantly, lots of humour. Also, Rowling is an original. Her work has a freshness that has grown with every book.”
I would like to add lots of suspense also to this.
Keep up the good work JKR.. I am dying to read the last book of the series!!!
